Spring, Summer, Fall, Winter... and Spring

I think that the lesson monk is trying to teach was to acknoledge the youn monk that everything, every living creatures are important and that they shouldn't kill them or do anything bad to them and they shoul respect them and we should understand that even f it is a really small it still lives and feels things
just like people.
In the mivie the boy tied rock and string around a fish, snake and a frog. At first he just did it for his own entertainment for his own happiness and joy, and  the monk caught him doing such things and let him realize the pain, by doing exectly the same thing that the boy has done tothe other creatures. He made him him realize the pain, heaviness and tiredness, but also how it can hurt your feeling to make the other creatures hurt or to kill. Through the real experience that the monk has given him, having stones aroud him, the boy learned and felt how much the creatures would have been suffer until they die (for fish and for snake's case). Trough the monk's lesson he learned that he should respect other creatures.
The monk said that if he would suffer from the thing that the old monk has done to the little monk then the small creatures would suffer from having the rocks around them and  not being able to move too,  and he said that if any of them die rhen he wouldn't have an actual rock around him but he would have rock on his heart. I think that what he had said was real. He (the little monk) wouln't acutally have the ock around him but he would suffer from the guilitiness of what he had done to them.
The lesson he had given to the littele monk was quite harsh but I think that it was a good lesson for him though. I think that he should experience that kind of punishment for once. He felt exactly like tha other small creatures  and he knew it was wrong. He got punished not only phisically but also in his heart. He must have been very sad and realized what he had done that wasn't a very nice thing to do the little creature.
Personally I don't have that kind of experience, so I don't really what it feels like to be tied up with the rock and can't move. However I wouldn't be very happy with the puishment but I think it would be worth trying.

  1. Good essay! But I think you can remember at least one time in your life when you've been disciplined either by a parent or a teacher, and can remember realizing something or learning an important lesson. Try to add something more:)
